Piperack inspections from above and below
To operate piping in compliance with local regulations, Cspect provides various inspection techniques.
These consist of visual inspection by certified inspectors and UT wall thickness measurements at height by qualified NDT technicians, using the Altum telescopic pole system. In this way, we inspect piperacks for corrosion on pipe supports or pipe wall penetrations.

We provide a total solution for your pipe rack inspections:
1) Inspection by Altum telescopic pole system
We conduct the majority of visual inspections using the Altum telescopic pole system, equipped with a visual module. This allows us to inspect the entire pipeline, with a particular focus on the supports, where corrosion typically forms. The visual module is designed to fit easily inbetween pipes, enabling inspection of the different layers of a piperack. Any damages identified will be annotated on the isometric drawings.
We are proud to perform all pipe inspections at height at Arcelor Mittal in Ghent!

2) Inspection by drone
Additionally, we can inspect the piperacks from above using a micro drone equipped with lights

3) UTM inspection
If wanted, needed by regulations, or if damage is noticed on the visual inspection, we can also perform UTM measurements of the bottom, sides and top of the non-isolated pipe, using the Altum telescopic pole system, with no need for any scaffolding or ropes.
4) Lidar scan
If wanted, or if there are no drawings available, a lidar scan of the rack can be performed.
This scan has an accuracy of 2mm/10m
